Rosalind franklin the dark lady of dna5/22/2023 ![]() Most crucially, using X-ray techniques that may have contributed significantly to her later death from cancer at the tragically young age of thirty-seven, she had taken beautiful photographs of the patterns of DNA. ![]() She established its existence in two forms, she worked out the position of the phosphorous atoms in its backbone. But could Crick and Watson have done it without the ‘dark lady’? Yes, I did use all of that punctuation. ![]() ![]() When the story turned dark, it was dark, but GAH.it took so long to get there! I do admit to being impressed that the party scenes were on the money and held up well with the new spin, but the male posturing which came first was awkwardly embarrassing. It took me well over half of the book before I was finally able to see the creepy Poe inspiration at work. I wish I could say the same thing about Dance of the Red Death. In fact, I rather enjoyed it - because the story itself was not suffocated out by the love triangle. The love triangle didn't bother me before. What the heck happened with book 2? It was as if everything I found exciting and infectious (pun intended) about Masque of the Red Death was distorted and lacking this time around. I have at least one thing in common with Araby - her love story was choking me also. "No." It feels like the rope is back around my throat, cutting off my air supply. ![]() Alvin ho series in order5/22/2023 ![]() ![]() But the scariest thing of all is the fact that the baby could be a GIRL. If you found yourself a survivor in a desperate situation, would you act the hero or act selfishly to look after only yourself?įew of us ever get an answer to that question. In a sense they are taking care of themselves, but a society in which they all ordinarily did this would be paradise indeed. Helping makes them feel needed and helpful.
